Railroad Repair to Close West Baddour Parkway in Lebanon

Thursday, May 29, 2025 | 08:07am

Nashville, Tenn. - The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has approved railroad repair work that will prompt a closure of SR 70 (West Baddour Parkway) in Wilson County.

Beginning Friday, May 30, at 8 p.m. through Monday, June 2, at 5 a.m., crews with RJ Corman Railroad will close West Baddour Parkway to through traffic at the railroad crossing behind Tractor Supply (SR 26/US 70 bypass) for railroad crossing repairs. All businesses and residents will have access during construction. During the closure, traffic control and a detour to West Main Street will be in place.

All work is weather-dependent. As always, drivers are reminded to allow additional time, slow down, and move over when traveling through a work zone. The Move Over Law was passed in 2006. The penalty for violating the law in Tennessee carries the possibility of up to 30 days in jail and a maximum fine of up to $500.

Motorists can alert TDOT to potholes by calling the TDOTFIX Hotline at 833-TDOTFIX or using this online form: TDOT Maintenance Request. The TDOT SmartWay Map (https://smartway.tn.gov) provides the latest construction activity traffic updates. Travelers can also call 511 for travel information.
